I have developed this problem in the last few years in the summer time or on a sunny holiday i developed lots of pimples and spots on my forehead and i think this is a result of excessive sweating in a hot environment as my forehead becomes very oily. This never used to happen as i was a real sun seeker always topping up my tan but now i find that within days my forehead is covered in little white heads unless i sunbath in a cool breeze

I am 16 years old, and no matter what I do, i sweat a lot. I am not overweight, and am in pretty good shape. Does anyone know a way to stop me from sweating so much just for a short period of time (just for like an hour or so while i excercise) as it gets very annoying, and i lose a lot of water from it. Also, the main problem is my head and neck, as deodorant helps with my underarms.

I’m 17 year old, male and I go exercising every day and i eat healthily and i make sure i have my 5 fruits a day and veg a day
however, i sweat really badly. Even today when i was in front of my class to make a presentation, i start gettin nervous and then i found my head was wet, full of sweat and that beads of sweat was sliding down my face. I couldn’t help but be really embarrassed , which of course made me sweat even more.
Thank fully i have a great group of friends who took over for me and i managed to keep myself calmer and i felt cooler inside despite giving out hot air around me…
even after about 5 mins of rounders with a group of friends, my armpits sweat really badly and my shirt can clearly be see through and the back of my shirt was wet.
i tried not lettin it stop me, however i’d like to know if theres nything wrong with me and should i see a doctor and have surgery on my sweat glands (also would this be healthy?)
For my diet-
Everyday- go on the treadmill for 40-50 mins, run at least 8 kms.
Weight – 143-149 (everyday, once ive finished running and once i’ve finished eating in the day)
Height- 5ft 10/11

So I sweat a lot from my head in the morning when I have to walk about one mile to school. It gets annoying because my hair is gets all nasty and is hard to get combed back the way I like it. I use Certain Dri antiperspirant for my armpits and it works really well. I was wondering if it would be safe to apply it to my head/scalp under my hair or would it do some weird stuff to my hair. I know its stupid, but thanks!

I’ve been getting what some people say are probably partial seizures since the age of 16: basically, my arms, and often legs move uncontrollably, this lasts less than a minute, however, I can get one after another. I also have excessive sweating, excessive thirst (been tested for diabetes, don’t have it), headaches, hot flushes (I’m a 28 year old male), which can last for a few minutes or all day despite cold weather, memory loss. I was born with a lump on my head which was thought to be either CNS (Central Nervous System) heterotopia or part of a residual encephalocele. This lump was removed aged 10, however almost 18 years later it seems to be coming back: the site where it was is often raised and is always tender, a duvet cover or just touching the hair around it can hurt. The pain has been so bad that it has woke me up on occasions. I have had MRI scans in the past, but these have shown up nothing. I have on appointment for an MRI scan in a few days, however as I said they never show up anything and the hospital (I’m in the UK, we have the NHS) won’t give me any other type of brain scan, so I’m doubtful anything will show up with this. Doies anyone have any idea what is causing these symptoms?
Oh and I won’t be using any medications from dodgy websites, a doctor would NOT tell me to use the websites so quit the BS!

PS that last bit was to a bogus doctor who posted, he’s deleted it now
can’t you read Ingeborg? I said I was buying any fake pills, so take your dodgy illegal website and stick it where the sun don’t shine!

I sweat a ridiculous amount. I actually don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone sweat nearly as much as I do when I exercise. And I’m not exercising super hard… other people doing the exact same thing seem to be dry as a bone, while I’m sitting there looking like I just fell in a pool. I almost feel like my body is overheating when I exercise. I have a pretty bad diet and drink a lot on the weekend, but I’m very skinny and slightly muscular, I assume because I exercise so much. I’ve read about hyperhidrosis, but I don’t think I have that because I don’t sweat mostly from my arm pits or palms… it comes out of EVERYWHERE… my head, face, back, chest, all the way down. I’ve been told by a friend who probably didn’t know what she was talking about that excessive sweating means I’m healthy. Is that true, is the opposite true, or neither? Could a bad diet, too many vitamins (I take a daily multivitamin), or too much drinking be the cause? I’m just throwing out guesses.

Hello Everyone, for the past couple of weeks I have been sweating excessively when doing next to nothing for example, When I walk to the shop on a cold day my head starts pouring with sweat, the back of my head gets really wet and my for head is dripping, another example is when I do light cleaning around the house, I get the same sweating, I stay hydrated as much as I can.
Recently, I have been put on Citalopram 20mg for depression, I also take 120mg of Propranolol a day and 20mg of amitriptyline at night before I go to bed, could of any of those medications be causing this?
Its getting really annoying, as I sit writing this, my head is still pouring even though I finished cleaning ten minutes ago.

Looked through some old answers, but nobody seems to have my issue. See, I sweat a lot due to a condition. No problems with body odor (thank GOD), but it’s so embarrassing when my whole head is sweating! My makeup slides off, I feel just gross. My only savior is colder weather without humidity or air conditioning. Any help on this one?

As a junior in high school, I am attending senior prom with this girl that asked me last week. I’m really excited to go, but unfortunately, am extremely embarrassed about the excessive amount of sweat I generate when I exercise and heat up. I’ve had problems with this before with sports, but have noticed that I sweat even more at school dances. Weirdly though, this does happen casually from time to time– if iIm exposed to heat or embarrassment, it seems as if my body temperature rises and I sweat consistently.
Basically, what happens is that around 10-30 minutes after I start dancing, I get really really hot (the room gets incredibly stuffy and hot as well) and I start sweating pretty badly. My hair gets ridiculously wet, and I eventually get to the point where I’m dripping on my date, which is obviously not desired. This usually can be relieved by me going outside and cooling off for 5-10 minutes, but it’s really not a great solution, as I have to leave my date and the dance. Also, I’ve looked around, as I’m really self conscious about this, and no one else seems to have this problem.
Please help me! I’m really looking forward to the dance, and don’t want to deal with the embarrassment. Thank you!
*Note: to clarify, I only seem to have this problem with my head/forehead. My armpits, hands, feet, etc all sweat, but not badly at all. I am worried about the appearance of my soppy hair, and consequently wet clothes.
